UPPER MICHIGAN – The Great Lakes keep getting higher and setting new records. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers says preliminary data shows new mean water levels for June were set on Lake Superior, Lake Erie, and Lake Ontario. Lakes Erie and Ontario are higher than at any point since the Corps began keeping track in 1918. Lakes Michigan and Huron, considered one body of water, came within an inch of the June record.
