Tomorrow is PLAIDURDAY!!!

IRONWOOD – Annual First Friday Tradition Happening Tomorrow. For the past few years there’s been a healthy competition between Ironwood and Marquette to see who can gather the most people for a downtown Plaidurday photo. Plaidurday is always the first Friday in October, so when Ironwood started celebrating First Fridays it made sense to combine the two events. Stormy Kromer is the First Friday sponsor this year and will be providing the musical entertainment. Folks are invited to wear plaid and gather on Aurora Street near the Historic Ironwood marquee for the aerial photo. Ironwood consistently comes out ahead in the competition each year, despite being the smaller city. Most downtown businesses will also be open later on Friday.
