A WINTER STORM WATCH TOMORROW AFTERNOON THROUGH SUNDAY

Written by on March 8, 2019

IRONWOOD – A winter storm will move across the region this weekend and bring accumulating snow to the region tomorrow. Snow accumulation of 6 to 9 inches is forecast from central Minnesota east into Wisconsin and the U.P. Snow will begin late Saturday evening and will begin to taper off Sunday afternoon with additional light accumulation possible after noon on Sunday. A WINTER STORM WATCH IS IN EFFECT FROM TOMORROW AFTERNOON THROUGH SUNDAY AFTERNOON… for Iron, Bayfield, Price and Ashland Counties. Snow covered roads and strong winds will reduce visibility and may make travel difficult. Another storm system may bring a wintry mix of rain and snow to the region Tuesday night through Thursday. Details on storm track and precipitation amounts, types, and locations are uncertain at this time. Anyone with travel plans the weekend and for mid-week is encouraged to keep up with the forecast during the next several days.
