HURLEY – The Hurley School District has been impacted by COVID-19 cases and will discuss changes to the Schools COVID-19 policy at a meeting coming up on Monday. In a statement posted on the Hurley School Facebook page by Kevin Genisot states that just this week the school experienced 16 staff members and 130 students out due to various reasons, but mostly COVID-related. The statement also states that the school’s current policy of quick testing using the antigen (rapid) tests, will no longer be available and without these tests, it’s putting the district in a difficult position requiring a change in the school’s Covid policy. The discussion regarding changes to the schools COVID-19 policy will be discussing on Monday, January 17th, at the regular school board meeting.
