Donate blood locally next week

IRONWOOD – The Red Cross reports an extremely low supply of blood nationwide and Needs Your Help here is how to help locally.. The American Red Cross will be holding two blood drives next week in Ironwood. The first will be at the Memorial Building in Ironwood next Wednesday, from 11 am to 5 pm. The next day, the drive will be held at Gogebic Community College in the Lindquist Student Center from 9 am to 2 pm. The Red Cross is experiencing the worst blood shortage in over a decade. The dangerously low blood supply levels have forced some hospitals to defer patients from major surgery, including organ transplants.
