GCC Tuition Rate will see a slight increase.

Written by on April 27, 2023

IRONWOOD – Tuition rates were approved at the regular monthly meeting of the Gogebic Community College Board of Trustees.  For the 2023-2024 academic year, tuition for students living in Gogebic County will see a slight increase of $4 per credit hour to $138, out of district and Wisconsin reciprocity areas will increase by $6 per credit hour to $197, and out of state residency will increase by $6 per credit hour to $226 along with international tuition rates increase by $6 to $266 per credit hour.  The gross impact of the proposed increase for the average full-time student would be $60 for in district students, $90 per semester for out-of-district, Wisconsin reciprocity area, out of state students and international students.  The college is heavily reliant on state appropriations with 46 percent of the college’s revenue being derived from that source, along with 14% from local property taxes and 39% from student tuition and fees.  The remaining 1% of operating revenues comes from miscellaneous sources.
