IRONWOOD TOWNSHIP – Heavy snow this winter causes damage to yet another area building. Heavy snow on the roof of the Pat O’Donnell Civic Center has reportedly bent one or more of the steel support beams supporting the roof. The snow has been removed but yellow caution tape blocks the entrance to the building. An insurance adjuster and structural engineers will be analyzing the roof system to see how much damage has been done. The Pat O’Donnell Civic Center will be closed until further notice. The Pat O’Donnell Civic Center is owned by the City of Ironwood and is located in Ironwood Township on the campus of Gogebic Community College.
