BESSEMER – The Gogebic County Sheriff’s Office announces a new sex offender information resource. It’s called “Victim Information and Notification Everyday” – VINE for short. Victims have the ability to call a toll-free number or use the VINELink mobile app to anonymously check on an offender’s custody status. The service also provides automated notifications about changes in custody status. This is a project that Dove Inc. and the Sheriff’s Office have been working to implement. For more information check the sheriff’s office Facebook page.
