BESSEMER – Snowmobile trails in the most part in good shape heading into the weekend despite warm weather. Area snowmobile clubs report the snow on the trails are a bit on the soft side and that riders should use caution and watch or water in low spots. Trail 8 at the Ontonagon County line has open water. The spot is 9 miles east of the 11/8 split, east of Wakefield. There are several hundred yards of pooled water in the low spot. Groomers expect the trails to tighten with the temperature expected to be in the mid-20s over the next several days. When riding remember to give the groomers the right of way.
