ODANAH – The Bad River Tribe of Lake Superior Chippewa is awarded a federal grant to build COVID-19 quarantine housing. The $900,000 from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development will be used to construct tiny homes which will be used by those testing positive for the coronavirus. It’s part of $20 million which HUD awarded to tribes across the nation to help them prevent, prepare for and respond to COVID-19. The funding came from the federal CARES act passed in March.
