GOISD receives funding for coronavirus prevention.

BESSEMER – The Gogebic-Ontonagon Intermediate School District is providing funding to help prevent spreading of the coronavirus. The Board of Education is allocating $172,000 to the district’s six members to use for buying cleaning supplies, obtaining technology products to support distance learning or any other needs to ensure students continue to receive high quality educational opportunities. According to the Daily Globe the Board approved the funding at a special meeting on Wednesday and also committed $65,000 to support the member districts’ efforts to develop makerspaces and fabrication labs next year.
