MDOT Announces Summer Road Work in Ontonagon and Iron Counties.

ONTONAGON COUNTY – Michigan Department of Transportation has announced repairs to roads and bridges will begin across Upper Peninsula starting on the 15th. The end date of each project will vary based on the needed repairs. MDOT will be investing almost $3 million dollars to repair three bridges in Iron and Ontonagon counties. US-45 over the east branch of the Ontonagon River, M-64 over the Mineral River, and M-69 over the Paint River may include a deep overlay, epoxy overlay, joint replacement, deck, railing, and substructure patching, curb and gutter repairs, guardrail, and approach work. Traffic will be one lane of alternating traffic using temporary traffic signals. Detours will also be part of some of the construction projects.
