Man involved in a 17 year old cold case appears in Court.

BAYFIELD – The suspect in a 17-year-old Bayfield County murder case appeared in court on Monday. 55-year-old Michael LaGrew pleaded not guilty to first-degree intentional homicide in the death of 50-year-old Jody Richard. LaGrew was a former Red Cliff official while Richard was director of the family education center in Red Cliff. Police say Richard disappeared in June 2003 after not returning to work following an argument with LaGrew where he said he was firing Richard. LaGrew was taken into custody last March after denying involvement in an earlier interview
