Ironwood voters say NO to school bond proposal.

IRONWOOD – Ironwood voters overwhelmingly said NO to the Ironwood Area Schools Bond Proposal.  In voting yesterday 62 percent of Ironwood voters voting no to the proposal that the school said would have funded safety refurbishment of the Luther L. Wright school building and fund infrastructure improvements, a new science lab, larger classrooms and an early education center on property adjacent to the school.  In voting 1,154 voted no compared to 711 yes votes. In Watersmeet the Township Operating Millage Renewal Request to renew 3.5 mills for 4 years 2023-2026 for general township operating purposes passed with 81% of voters casting a YES vote.
