IRONWOOD – Ironwood voters head to the polls today. One of the items on the balled is a $16 million bond that would fund safety refurbishment of the Luther K. Wright school building. The money would fund infrastructure improvements, a new science lab, larger classrooms and an early education center on property adjacent to the school. The bond proposal renews two existing bonds with a slight increase. Taxpayers would see their tax rate increase by $1.45 per thousand dollars of taxable value. An explanation of how the district plans to use the money can be found at ironwoodschools.org.
