IRONWOOD – Get ready to see more F-16s in the air over the next few weeks. That’s because the 148th Fighter Wing is conducting night flight training through Friday, Oct. 2. Area residents may hear F-16s taking off, flying and landing during the later afternoon and evening. These missions will normally be flown above 18,000 feet but at times the F-16s may fly lower in approved airspace to accomplish required training. All aircraft are scheduled to be on the ground by 11:15 p.m. CDT.
