First COVID death in Ashland County

ASHLAND – Ashland County confirms the first death due to COVID-19 related complications. The announcement was made Tuesday but it didn’t provide the victim’s age, gender or where they lived. Officials say the coronavirus is being spread by people who don’t even know they are carrying the virus and they ask everyone to wear a mask along with practicing social distancing. A COVID-19 outbreak was reported last week at a Mellen summer day camp and in June at an Ashland hockey tournament.
