Cause of an Ashland house fire still undetermined.

ASHLAND – Cause of Ashland House Fire That Killed One six months ago Still Undetermined. A state fire Marshall still has not completed a report on the investigation into a house fire that left an Ashland man dead. According to the Daily Press, David Hendrickson was killed in the housefire that started in his living room on Beaser Avenue mid-March. The fire Marshall went over the scene the day after the fire, but still no report. Ashland Fire Chief Stuart Matthias said they have large inventory of cases. Crews were able to put the fire down quickly, but not before David Hendrickson succumbed. A neighbor is reported to have heard something like a gunshot before the fire, but no evidence of a gas leak or explosion was found.
