BESSEMER — Rob Coleman is back in the Bessemer City Council. The council appointed him to a seat vacated by Lou Miskovich. It needed to act before Nov. 21, according to the city charter. Coleman had served previously, but declined to run for re-election due to work concerns. He was among several to apply for the job. Council members posed questions to all those who applied which were answered in written form by some and by telephone or live via the internet by others. Council member Terry Kryshak nominated Zak, based on his prior experience. Mayor Adam Zak offered a second. Council members encouraged others who had applied to offer there services in other ways, as there are vacancies on several committees and organizations with which the council is involved and needs help.
