GOGEBIC / IRON COUNTY –The Michigan Department of Health is reporting 218 cases of COVID19 in Gogebic County that’s an increase of 4 since yesterday. Ontonagon County with 68 an increase of 1 since yesterday. While the Wisconsin Department of Health reports 170 cases in Iron County an increase of 6 since yesterday. As of last night, there have been a total of 4,441 lab-confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the Upper Peninsula during this outbreak. Of those, at least 1,892 are considered recovered and 75 have resulted in death. Upper Michigan added 128 coronavirus cases Tuesday. COVID-19 hospitalizations, out of the 10 U.P. hospitals and health systems reporting, show 54 COVID-19 patients in Upper Michigan as of Monday, Oct. 19. Fifteen of those patients are in the intensive care unit (ICU). Data wasn’t updated Oct. 20. Aspirus hospitals have seven patients, with two in the ICU. The cumulative rate of positive diagnostic tests for Upper Michigan is 2.85% as of yesterday.
