Gas Prices start the week up

IRONWOOD - Filling up the gas tank locally and around Michigan is costing a lot more than a week ago. Triple-A Michigan says the statewide average price for regular unleaded surged by 17-cents a gallon over the past week to two-dollars-74-cents. The jump in global oil prices from attacks on facilities in Saudi Arabia is blamed. The lowest average price remains in Traverse City at two-63, in Ironwood fuel is averaging 2.79 a gallon according to GasBuddy.com.
