Walmart locked down due to an accidental weapons discharge.

IRONWOOD- Ironwood Walmart went on lock down just after 2:30 yesterday An eye witness reported to MIX 106.9 and OLDIES 102.9 News that she heard a single loud bang that the witness said she thought came from the men’s bathroom. For a short time nobody was allowed in or out of the store. Then after the brief lock down the store was evacuated. Police are still on scene. The Gogebic County Sheriffs office says a man with a Conceal Weapons Permit accident discharged the firearm in the Walmart Bathroom. The mans name hasn’t been released. The Ironwood Walmart issued the following statement following the incident. “Everything is fine here at your Ironwood Walmart. There was an incident that occurred that was nonviolent. Everything is back to normal and safe for your shopping pleasure. ”
