Free Fishing Weekend in Michigan

WAKEFIELD - The Michigan Department of Natural Resources is hosting their annual free fishing days this weekend. Across the U.P., and all of Michigan, people will be able to go fishing on their local lakes without getting a license. The DNR hosts this weekend twice a year, once during summer and once during winter. They say this is a good time for people to give it a try to see if they like it. There are a number of fishing derbies happening this weekend including the 10th Annual Wakefield Volunteer Fire Department Ice Fishing Contest tomorrow on Sunday Lake from 11:00 AM - 05:00 PM CALL 906-364-0174 for more information.
