BESSEMER - An Ironwood woman involved in a drug bust was sentenced Tuesday in Gogebic County Circuit Court. Amy Kolesar received 145 days in jail, but has already served that full amount of time. She also received two years of probation. Kolesar was arrested back back in July along with Jamie Jett of Ironwood. The Ironwood Public Safety Department was contacted by a parole agent from the Michigan Department of Corrections for assistance with a home visit in Ironwood. At the home was Kolesar and Jett. The Gogebic Iron Area Narcotics Team say once officers were on scene, they began to find evidence of controlled substance violations. They requested additional personnel and the sheriff’s department and G.I.A.N.T came to the residence. Officers found cocaine, marijuana, US currency, drug paraphernalia and additional items used to distribute controlled substances.
