BESSEMER – The Western Upper Peninsula Health Department announces changes to its COVID-19 investigation procedures. Officials say their resources are stretched to the limit because of the coronavirus case increase and they will now prioritize contact tracing for those age 65 and older, especially those with chronic underlying conditions as well as those living at long-term care facilities. Cases in children 18 and younger are also being prioritized. Other cases will be investigated as capacity allows and the department is no longer issuing case confirmation letters to employers
