Wisconsin last Full-Service gas station set to close.

ASHLAND – The Last Full-Service Gas Station in the Ashland Area May Close. The last full-service gas station will be closing soon. The Lake Shore Holiday Station store West at 915 Lake Shore Drive W. in Ashland is the station and a lot of older folks with disabilities had come to rely on the service. Co-owner Jim Coffey has managed the store for the past 38 years with his brother. The cost of safety upgrades required by the state would run about $250,000. Both Coffey and his brother are in their sixties and feel they don’t have enough time to offset that big an expenditure. Gas will be available through the 23rd. Coffey says he has received an offer from a buyer.
