Vilas County May Soon Have Civilian Dispatch Supervisor

EAGLE RIVER – The Lakeland Times reports at a meeting of the county board’s law enforcement and emergency management committee, the idea of hiring a civilian to fill the position of dispatch supervisor was once again discussed and the decision to draft a job description and submit to the human resources department was made. The move would allow the hiring of an experienced civilian supervisor and would possibly allow a current dispatcher to fill the position.
