Vilas County Bike Trail System receives national recognition

EAGLE RIVER – The Heart of Vilas County Bike Trail System receives national recognition. The 52-mile layout is designated as a “National Recreation” Trail by American Trails which is a a national nonprofit organization established by Congress over 50 years to work on behalf of all trail interests. The trial was described as giving users “a ticket to the beauty and heritage of northern Wisconsin’s wilderness”. The multiuse trail is one of the longest paved trails in Wisconsin.
