US-2 Project in Bessemer closer to completion.

BESSEMER – Roadwork in Bessemer Getting Closer to Completion. The detour around MDOT work on Westbound US-2 through Bessemer is being lifted this morning, following the replacement of a deep sanitary sewer. Westbound US-2 will return to its permanent lane and Eastbound traffic will continue to be detoured. The work is part of the $9.9 million rebuild of 2.7 miles of US-2 from Powdermill Creek to east of Cedar Avenue. Work on the project is expected to be completed in October.
