BESSEMER – The Western Upper Peninsula Health Department issues an advisory for travelers entering the area. Health Officer Cathryn Beer says they are seeing an influx of individuals from areas with significant COVID-19 spread or returning from travel outside the five-county area which imposes a risk to all residents. Beer says those arriving from out of the area should self-quarantine for 14 days then follow the Governor’s Stat At Home Order. Rural camping is not a safe alternative as there are no sanitary facilities available for those who get sick.
