Tragic start to the Wisconsin Gun Deer Season

MADISON – In hunting news in Wisconsin’s opening weekend of the gun deer season an 11-year-old male died of a gunshot wound to the chest in Southern Wisconsin. A 41-year-old male shooter attempted to unload his firearm while it was placed in the back seat of a vehicle. The firearm discharged, striking the young victim. The victim was flown via Med Flight to a Madison area hospital, where he later died. The shooter and the victim were members of the same hunting party.
