third annual “Across The Borders” Senior Information and Awareness Walk today

HURLEY – It won’t be as hot today for the Walk to Prevent Alzheimer’s event This Afternoon. Later this afternoon, the third annual “ Across The Borders” Senior Information and Awareness Walk will be held on the Iron Belle Trail, traveling from Hurley to Ironwood Depot Park from 5-7 pm. The event will feature booths from more than 20 local organizations that serve and care for seniors. There will be refreshments at both ends of the walk and there will be transportation provided for those unable to drive themselves. The longest day of the year, the solstice was chosen for the event by the Alzheimer’s Association in order to encourage people across the world to connect and to outshine the darkness of Alzheimer’s disease.
