Search Continues for a Missing Ontonagon Man

ONTONAGON – The public asked to keep an eye open for a Man missing From Ontonagon.. A man from Ontonagon who was reported missing by his family Wednesday morning has still not been found. Joseph Bittner was last seen leaving on his four-wheeler to do some work at a nearby camp. His family called police when he didn’t return home that evening. His four-wheeler was found along Lakeshore Drive when the search began on Thursday. MSP canine teams from Iron Mountain and Gladstone were called in to assist Houghton County Search and Rescue, and drones were used to search. Air support was unable to assist due to weather conditions. Bittner has a medical condition that requires him to take medication. It is unknown if he was carrying any of that with him.
