Saxon Habor re-opening ceremony postponed.

SAXON – The ceremony to re-open Saxon Harbor is postponed due to the coronavirus outbreak. The marina was severely damaged in 2016 ago when heavy rains overwhelmed Oronto and Parker creeks sending in waves of mud destroying boats and indirectly causing the death of a firefighter. The $14 million reconstruction project was mostly completed last summer. Officials say the dedication ceremony will now be held on June 11, 2021, at 11 a.m. Work is proceeding at the campground and that may reopen later this year.
