Republic Services rights a wrong in Ironwood.

IRONWOOD – Republic Services the garbage collection company for the city of Ironwood wants to make thing right with the residents of Ironwood.  Many complained to the city and to Republic saying that garbage was not being picked up.  Republic issuing a statement reading in part “The delay has been caused by factors such as drivers calling in due to sickness and truck issues created by the winter weather; however, we take full responsibility for the delay.”  Republic wanting to make things right has developed a plan that will allow us to service the entire area in the next two days starting today.  Republic Services will provide both curbside garbage and recycling service for all the residents in the City of Ironwood today tomorrow. Residents are asked to have both containers placed at the curb no later than 7:00 am on the service day.  The map provided by the city shows that the collection services will take place in the northern half of the city today with collection in the southern part of the city tomorrow.  We have the map on the WUPM Facebook page just search WUPM.
