Ontonagon County has it’s first COVID-19 related death.

ONTONAGON – Ontonagon County has its first death due to COVID-19 related complications. The Western Upper Peninsula Health Department issued a statement confirming the individual was an elderly patient who died at a UP hospital. The department also noted that those who went to the Citizens State Bank of Ontonagon on E. River St. between Oct. 16 through Oct. 28 may have been exposed to COVID-19 and should monitor for symptoms. If you show signs of the coronavirus contact your healthcare provider.
