Northern Wisconsin Voters head to the polls today!

HURLEY – Those heading to the polls for today’s 7th District Congressional special election will see National Guard members on site. Voters will be choosing between Democrat Tricia Zunker and Republican State Senator Tom Tiffany to fill the seat formerly held by Sean Duffy who resigned in 2019 for family reasons. Officials say the Guard members will be checking in voters along with helping to keep social distancing and performing sanitizing actions. Polls are open until 8:00 p.m. The 7th District, which includes Iron, Vilas and Ashland Counties was carried by Trump by 20 points four years ago. The winner will replace Republican Sean Duffy, a former star on MTV’s “Real World” who held the seat since 2011 and remains a vocal Trump backer.
