More information on Anvil Location Drug Bust.

BESSEMER – We now have more information regarding the drug arrest in Anvil location of Bessemer last Saturday.  Police say 24-year-old Christopher James Michelic has been charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of a firearm, and assault.  Troopers from the Michigan State Police Wakefield Post responded to a complaint at an Anvil location home Saturday for domestic violence and drugs. Upon arrival, drug paraphernalia and narcotic activity was found.  As the drug activity was being observed, Michelic was seen driving by the home. Troopers initiated a traffic stop for further investigation and placed the man under arrest for possession of methamphetamine, possession of firearm and assault.  A search warrant was obtained and executed on the suspect’s residence and vehicles where the drug house evidence was found.  The suspect was taken to Gogebic County Jail.  His next court date has not been scheduled.
