More COVID-19 related cancellations.

BESSEMER – Another cancellation due to COVID-19. The latest in the list of cancellations is the Bessemer Blast 4th of July celebration. In a statement, the Bessemer Blast Committee said “It is with heavy hearts to announce that Bessemer Blast 2020 is canceled due to the many uncertainties in the weeks ahead resulting from Covid-19. This unanimous decision is one that the committee has taken very seriously and included many different scenarios to safely hold our celebration this year. With the expected continued social distancing regulations, among other restrictions, very little, if any, of our “Social Event” can occur and satisfy these requirements”.

SAXON – There will be no Iron County Fair this year. The Iron County Fair Board saying in a statement “It’s with a heavy heart we announce the cancellation of the 2020 Iron County Fair. The decision was tough, as this is the first time in 93 years that there won’t be a fair, but our board is dedicated to providing a safe and healthy environment for everyone in the community.”
