Michigan DNR deer habitats in the U.P.

UPPER MICHIGAN – Michigan DNR Funds Deer Habitat Work on Private Lands. The Michigan Department of Natural Resources has once again awarded grants for deer habitat in the state. This is the 15th year of the program to improve deer habitats on privately owned lands. This year 12 grants were awarded in 10 U.P. counties. Some of the grants will benefit short term habitats and others will improve conditions over time. Total of the grants this year was $201,541. All work on funded habitats must be done by September 30th of this year.
