Marenisco looks at marijuana business ordinances once again

MARENISCO – Marenisco lawmakers take another look at allowing marijuana businesses to operate in the township. At the Board of Trustees meeting this week members decided to revisit the 2019 ordinance that was rescinded so it could go on the November ballot which resulted in it being rejected by voters. Supervisor Bruce Mahler tells the Daily Globe that taking action now is important in view of the state putting the former corrections center up for sale. A Chicago company expressed interest in buying the jail to build a marijuana processing center.
