Local and Regional COVID numbers

GOGEBIC / IRON COUNTIES – Health officials in Michigan report 18,945 confirmed and probable cases for the week ending Wednesday, May 4. There is an average daily case count of 2,706 new cases per day. There were 62 deaths over this same time period.  60.5% have completed their vaccination series.  The Wisconsin Department of Health Services reports 2,058 new cases of COVID-19 in Thursday’s update, with five new deaths.  61.1% of the total population has completed the vaccination series.  Over the last week 8 new COVID 19 cases reported in Gogebic County, 2 in Ontonagon County and 6 in Iron County.
