GOGEBIC / IRON COUNTY –The Michigan Department of Health reporting 2381 COVID cases in Gogebic County an increase of 177 cases since yesterday, the largest one-day jump seen yet in Gogebic County. Ontonagon County with 795 an increase of 27 since yesterday. The Wisconsin Department of Health reports 863 cases in Iron County no increase in cases since Friday. One COVID related death being reported in Iron County yesterday bringing the Iron County Death Count to 45. Health officials in Michigan report 86,009 newly confirmed cases of COVID-19 for Saturday to Wednesday, reflecting an average daily case count of 17,202 new cases per day. 64.6% of all Michigan residents have received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine as of January 18. Of residents 5 and older, 58.3% have completed their vaccination series. The Wisconsin Department of Health Services reports 12,909 new cases of COVID-19 in Wednesday’s update, with 65 new deaths. 62.9% of the total population has received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine as of January 19. 58.9% of the total population has completed the vaccination series.
