Local and Regional COVID numbers

GOGEBIC / IRON COUNTY –The Michigan Department of Health reporting 1962 COVID cases in Gogebic County no change since yesterday.  Ontonagon County with 685 no increase since yesterday.  The Wisconsin Department of Health reports 858 cases in Iron County an increase of 4 cases since yesterday.  Health officials in Michigan report 27,563 newly confirmed cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday and Wednesday, reflecting an average daily case count of 13,673 new cases per day. There were 277 new reported deaths over the two-day period.  63.7% of all Michigan residents have received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine as of January 4. Of residents 5 and older, 57.6% have completed their vaccination series.  The Wisconsin Department of Health Services reports 11,547 new cases of COVID-19 in Thursday’s update, with 35 new deaths.  62.3% of the total population has received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine as of January 6. 58.3% of the total population has completed the vaccination series.
