Local and Regional COVID cases

GOGEBIC / IRON COUNTY –The Michigan Department of Health is reporting 415 cases of COVID19 in Gogebic County an increase of 37 since yesterday.  Ontonagon County with 190 cases and increase of 23 since yesterday. While the Wisconsin Department of Health reports 266 cases in Iron County an increase of 7 since yesterday. Upper Michigan added 512 coronavirus cases and 6 new deaths Monday. These numbers are combined Sunday and Monday totals.  As of last night there have been a total of 7,966 lab-confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the Upper Peninsula during this outbreak. Of those, at least 3,792 are considered recovered and 157 have resulted in death. COVID-19 hospitalizations, out of the 10 U.P. hospitals and health systems reporting, show 64 COVID-19 patients in Upper Michigan as of Monday, Nov. 9. Twenty-five patients are in the intensive care unit (ICU).  Aspirus hospitals have 12 coronavirus patients, with two in the ICU. Wisconsin health officials are reporting about 4,000 new COVID-19 infections in the state. The Department of Health Services reported 4,360 new confirmed infections on Monday. That’s up from 4,280 on Sunday but still dramatically fewer than the record 7,065 on Saturday.
