Local and Regional COVID cases.

GOGEBIC / IRON COUNTY –The Michigan Department of Health is reporting 317 cases of COVID19 in Gogebic County that’s an increase of 19 since Friday Morning.  Ontonagon County with 102 an increase of 6 since Friday. While the Wisconsin Department of Health reports 216 cases in Iron County an increase of 22 since Friday. As of Saturday, night, there have been a total of 6,074 lab-confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the Upper Peninsula during this outbreak. Of those, at least 2,862 are considered recovered and 123 have resulted in death. The seven-day average for positive tests in the U.P. sits at 7.1%.   Wisconsin health officials are reporting nearly 3,500 new cases of the coronavirus and 16 additional deaths in the last day. Nearly 18,000 tests were processed since Saturday, for a positivity rate of more than 19%. The state has recorded nearly 229,000 cases since the start of the pandemic.
