GOGEBIC / IRON COUNTY –The Michigan Department of Health is reporting 627 cases of COVID19 in Gogebic County as of Monday. Ontonagon County with 269 cases an increase of 3 since yesterday. While the Wisconsin Department of Health reports 381 cases an increase of 5 cases since yesterday. As of last night, there have been a total of 12,921 lab-confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the Upper Peninsula during this outbreak. Of those, at least 6,994 are considered recovered and 290 have resulted in death. The seven-day average for positive tests in the U.P. sits at 8.9%. Upper Michigan added 81 new coronavirus cases Tuesday. The cumulative rate of positive diagnostic tests for Upper Michigan is 5.73% as of yesterday. The number of infections and deaths in Wisconsin continues to climb. State health officials reported 4,114 newly confirmed cases and 68 more deaths on Tuesday.
