GOGEBIC / IRON COUNTY –The Michigan Department of Health is reporting 597 cases of COVID19 in Gogebic County an increase of 13 since yesterday. Ontonagon County with 256 cases an increase of 4 since yesterday. While the Wisconsin Department of Health reports 363 cases an increase of 3 cases since yesterday. As of last night, there have been a total of 12,224 lab-confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the Upper Peninsula during this outbreak. Of those, at least 6,259 are considered recovered and 262 have resulted in death. The seven-day average for positive tests in the U.P. sits at 9.3%. The cumulative rate of positive diagnostic tests for Upper Michigan is 5.61% as of Dec. 2. Aspirus Ironwood has 4 patients with 2 in ICU and 47% bed occupancy. Next Hurley drive-thru COVID-19 test date is Tuesday, December 8, 2020 from 10AM to 4PM at the Hurley Fire Station.
