GOGEBIC / IRON COUNTY –The Michigan Department of Health is reporting 427 cases of COVID19 in Gogebic County an increase of 6 since yesterday. Ontonagon County with 200 cases and increase of 5 since yesterday. While the Wisconsin Department of Health reports 281 cases in Iron County an increase of 6 since yesterday. As of last night, there have been a total of 8,303 lab-confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the Upper Peninsula during this outbreak. Of those, at least 3,872 are considered recovered and 164 have resulted in death. The seven-day average for positive tests in the U.P. sits at 11.3%. Michigan has posted a record number of daily confirmed coronavirus cases, near 6,500. And also on Tuesday the state reported its deadliest day in 6 months, with 59 deaths in 24 hours.
