Local and Regional COVID-19 numbers.

GOGEBIC / IRON COUNTY – The Michigan Department of Health is reporting 194 cases of COVID19 in Gogebic County an increase of 5 from Friday.  Ontonagon County with 60 an increase of 1 since Friday. While the Wisconsin Department of Health reports 159 cases in Iron County no increase since Friday. As of Friday, night there have been a total of at least 4,057 lab-confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the Upper Peninsula during this outbreak. Of those, at least 1,645 are considered recovered and 64 have resulted in death.  Out of the 126,128 diagnostic test results reported to the state from Upper Michigan for the entire coronavirus pandemic, 2.36 percent have come back positive for COVID-19 as of Saturday.  Meanwhile, Wisconsin has broken the record for new positive coronavirus cases. The state also hit a record highs for hospitalizations on Friday. The Wisconsin Department of Health Services has suspended the reporting of new COVID-19 totals until Tuesday while its computer system undergoes an upgrade.  Also on Friday, a third lawsuit was filed arguing that Democratic Gov. Tony Evers had overstepped his authority by issuing public health emergencies and implementing a statewide mask mandate and capacity limits for bars and restaurants.
